ABC Child Care has served Temecula families for over 30 years. From one pioneering location to two thriving campuses, our story is one of community, dedication, and a deep commitment to every child who walks through our doors.
In 1991, Malinda Margiotta recognized the need for something better in child care and built a state-of-the-art facility on Solana Way from the ground up. She assembled a team of quality professionals and created what would become ABC Child Care Center — raising the bar for early childhood education across Southern California.
Malinda opens the flagship location. ABC quickly becomes one of the first centers in Southern California — and the largest in California — to earn NAEYC accreditation. The Chicken Soup Room, a pioneering mildly-ill care room, launches around this time too.
A second campus nestled in the Harveston community launches under the leadership of Malinda's daughter Angel and her husband Shawn. Their background in youth ministry shapes the Village's deeply relational, family-first culture from day one.
When Malinda retired, Angel and Shawn stepped into leadership of both locations. Supported by their dedicated management teams — Ms. Tonya, Ms. Shannon, and Ms. Patricia at the Center; Ms. Candice, Ms. Jessica, and Ms. Liz at the Village — the ABC legacy continues stronger than ever.
Our greatest strength has always been our staff — the majority have been with us for over five years, because when teachers thrive, children flourish.
Our teachers receive more training than any other provider in the area. We hire with care, invest deeply in development, and the results speak for themselves — staff who stay for decades and children who love coming to school.
NAEYC accreditation means we maintain some of the lowest ratios in Southern California. Infants: 4:1. Preschool: 9:1. Every child gets the individual attention they deserve, every single day.

You are your child's most important teacher. We work alongside you with daily intake/outtake reports, informal check-ins, and a welcome-anytime open-door policy so you always know what's happening in the classroom.
Every activity — sensory bins, science centers, art projects, dramatic play, music, and outdoor exploration — is purposefully designed to build real skills while keeping children joyfully and meaningfully engaged.
Age-specific classrooms and play yards, in-classroom video monitoring, and the pioneering Chicken Soup Room for mildly ill children. Nutritious breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snack are all included in tuition.
NAEYC accreditation is held by fewer than 1% of child care programs nationwide. ABC was one of the first centers in Southern California to earn it — and has maintained it proudly as a commitment to your family for over three decades.
Nestled beside the Harveston Lake, our Village location opened in 2004 and has grown into a leader in child care in its own right. Many of our Village students have been with us from six weeks old all the way through our private Kindergarten program — that kind of journey is what makes this place so special.
Operated with an unwavering dedication to the ABC difference, the Village is run by Angel and Shawn with the support of Ms. Candice, Ms. Jessica, and Ms. Liz — a management team as passionate as the day the doors opened.
