Ms. Malinda's dream, still growing strong
In 1991, Malinda Margiotta saw a gap in the way children were cared for in the United States — and she rose to the challenge. She designed and built a state-of-the-art facility, assembled a team of quality professionals, and ABC Child Care Center was born.
Her legacy was immediately clear: ABC was among the first and most prominent centers in Southern California to earn NAEYC accreditation, and the first to implement a mildly-ill care room — our beloved Chicken Soup Room.
In 2004, Ms. Malinda's daughter Angel and son-in-law Shawn opened our second location, ABC Child Care Village, in the Harveston community. After years of world travel doing youth ministry together, their hearts led them home — to the kids. In 2020, Angel and Shawn took over both locations, carrying the legacy forward with the same warmth and commitment to excellence ABC has always been known for.
